At Timepiece Sterls Australia, we take great care in shipping our luxury watches and collectibles. This Shipping Policy outlines how we handle orders, delivery timeframes, costs, and related matters. It forms part of our overall Terms of Service.
1. Processing Time
• All orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation (excluding weekends and public holidays in New South Wales).
• High-value or complex orders (e.g., requiring additional authentication or documentation) may take slightly longer. We will notify you if there is any delay.
• Orders placed by appointment for in-person viewing/collection in Sydney are handled separately — contact us directly.
2. Shipping Methods and Carriers
We ship using reputable, trackable services suitable for high-value luxury items:
• Domestic (Australia-wide): DHL Express Australia, Australia Post Express Post or alternative premium courier with signature on delivery.
• International: DHL Express, FedEx International Priority, or Australia Post International Express (depending on destination and value). We prioritise services with full tracking and insurance options.
We do not ship to PO Boxes for security reasons. Deliveries are made to the physical address provided at checkout.
3. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:
• Item weight and dimensions
• Destination
• Chosen shipping method
Examples (indicative only – actual cost shown at checkout):
• Domestic (Australia): From AU$15 (standard) to AU$45+ (express with insurance).
• International: Varies significantly. Expect AU$80–AU$300+ depending on the country and watch value. We use secure, insured services for all international shipments.
We may offer free shipping on selected high-value orders or promotions — this will be clearly stated on the product page or at checkout.
All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
4. Delivery Timeframes (Estimates Only)
Delivery times are business days (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays) and start after processing and dispatch. These are estimates only and not guaranteed, as they depend on the carrier, customs (for international), and external factors.
• Domestic (Australia): 1–5 business days (metro areas usually 1–3 days; regional/rural may take longer).
• International:
• Major destinations (e.g., USA, UK, Europe, Asia): 3–10 business days via express courier.
• Other regions: 7–21+ business days (check specific estimates at checkout or with our team).
Delays can occur due to customs clearance, peak periods, or unforeseen events. We will provide tracking information via email once your order ships, allowing you to monitor progress.
5. International Shipments, Customs, Duties & Taxes
• For international orders, you (the buyer) are responsible for any import duties, taxes, VAT/GST, or customs fees imposed by your country.
• We declare the full commercial value accurately for customs purposes (as required by law) and include all necessary documentation (e.g., commercial invoice, proof of authenticity where applicable).
• Some countries allow us to prepay duties/taxes — we will advise if this option is available.
• We are not responsible for delays or additional charges caused by customs.
6. Insurance and Risk
• All shipments are fully insured for the full value of the goods (purchase price + shipping) against loss, damage, or theft during transit.
• Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the goods are delivered to the nominated address (or collected in person).
• In the rare event of damage or loss, contact us immediately with your tracking number. We will handle the insurance claim on your behalf.
Secure Packaging: Every luxury watch is professionally packed using industry-best practices:
• Original watch box (where possible) or protective casing.
• Double-box method with ample cushioning to prevent movement.
• Discreet outer packaging (no obvious branding indicating high value).
• Tamper-evident seals.
This protects delicate movements and components during transit.
7. Tracking and Notifications
You will receive:
• An order confirmation email upon purchase.
• A dispatch notification with tracking number(s) once shipped.
Track your package directly via the carrier’s website.
8. Delivery Issues
• Failed delivery: If no one is available to sign, the carrier may leave a card or attempt redelivery. Contact the carrier using your tracking number.
• Lost or damaged shipments: Report to us within 7 days of the expected delivery date. We will investigate and action the insurance claim promptly.
• Under the Australian Consumer Law, if goods are lost or damaged in transit, you may be entitled to a remedy from us (as the supplier). We will work with you to resolve any issues fairly and quickly.
9. Changes or Cancellations
If you need to change your shipping address after placing an order, contact us as soon as possible. We may not be able to accommodate changes once the item has been dispatched.
We reserve the right to cancel or hold an order if we suspect fraud or incorrect address details.
10. Collection Option (Sydney Only)
Local buyers in Sydney can arrange in-person collection by appointment at our premises (Level 16, 175 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000). No shipping fees apply, and you can inspect the watch before finalising payment (subject to our standard procedures).
